ALTERNATIVE singer Kacy Hill has revealed why she didn’t want to work with Kanye West
anymore.
In 2014, Kacy, 30, worked as a backup dancer for the rapper’s Yeezy Tour where he discovered her
music and signed her to his label G.O.O.D Music, which means Getting Out Our Dreams.
Kanye, 46, founded the music label in March 2004 and has signed big names in music including
John Legend, 45, Big Sean, 36, and Kid Cudi, 40.
The names above have since left the label.
From 2011 to 2022, G.O.O.D Music signed a long-term distribution contract with The Island Def Jam Music Group.
‘I DON’T WANT TO BE HERE’
In a TikTok video shared by user feeltheroom, they attended a recent Kacy concert where she
explained what she had to do to be released from Kanye’s label.
“I was signed to him, I was signed to G.O.O.D Music it was so crazy,” she began.
“So, Def Jam basically paid to like shoot the album cover for my second album, whatever, and then they were like ‘Actually we don’t know if we want you still.’
“And I was like, ‘That’s crazy cause I don’t want to be here either.’”
The company then told the Arm’s Length hitmaker that the only person who could let her go from the company was Kanye himself.
“However, at that time, he decided he didn’t want to use email and he also didn’t have an assistant so I was like ‘That is so crazy.’
“So for the next six months of my life and this is a true story I’m not exaggerating anything. It’s crazier than I could even tell it.
“However, at that time, he decided he didn’t want to use email and he also didn’t have an assistant
so I was like ‘That is so crazy.’
