Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West has made her acting debut on stage at the Hollywood Bowl, as she took on the role of Simba in
a production of The Lion King.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West put their differences aside as they reunited to watch daughter North West make her stage debut in a
production of The Lion King.
The 10-year-old received a standing ovation at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday as she took on the role of Simba in the 30th anniversary
concert celebrating the Disney classic. Her proud parents were joined by Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker as they
cheered for North.
The live-to-film concert provided North with ample opportunities to show off her skills. The star-studded event also featured
performances from Jennifer Hudson, Jeremy Irons, Billy Eichner, and Nathan Lane.
Kanye sported a white hoodie for the occasion, while Kris donned an ankle-length, animal print coat. Kim shared backstage photos on social media, including a snapshot of her and North’s all-access passes and pictures of character-inspired cupcakes.
She also thanked her mom Kris and grandmother Mary Jo Campbell for sending beautiful orange flower arrangements. News broke last month that North would be joining the cast when a poster for the two-night event revealed her upcoming acting debut.
This follows the release of her first album, Elementary School Dropout, in March, which was a playful homage to Kanye’s debut album, The College Dropout, released 20 years earlier. North has already made her stage debut alongside her father in Miami and Paris to support his album release for Vultures 1.
In an interview with i-D last October, North confessed that “performing is my favorite” and that she inherited this passion “mostly from me… and then a little bit of my dad.” The ambitious youngster also dreams of becoming “a rapper, a basketball player, and I’m going to make artwork that I sell.”
In addition to her artistic aspirations, North also plans to follow in her parents’ entrepreneurial footsteps. She boldly declared: “One day I want to own Yeezy and SKIMS, and I want to be a business owner.”
SKIMS and Yeezy are the two successful companies launched by Kim and Kanye. The former couple, who were married from 2014 to
2022, also share three other children: Saint, eight, Chicago, six, and five-year-old Psalm.
